Petra National Trust is involved at various levels to improve outreach and understanding of the importance of cultural heritage in development. It is active in several policy making bodies and advices national and international institutions on the role of heritage in sustainable development and on best practices in cultural heritage management.

As President of the PNT Board, HRH Princess Dana Firas, serves as a global advocate for heritage protection and preservation. HRH perceives cultural heritage as a foundation for development, responsible tourism, political identity, and participation.

HRH is active in advocating for the protection of cultural heritage through many national and international conferences, webinars, and virtual events, in addition to steering the strategic direction of PNT.
